Description

Hard Reset - The Game Powered by Your Life
This isn't gamified productivity. It's not badges for brushing your teeth. Hard Reset is a full cyberpunk roguelike deckbuilder that happens to be powered by your real-world accomplishments.

Your Life Fuels the Fight
Every real task you complete earns Action Points (AP). Use them to move through the city, attach new hardware, mod your cyborg body, and unleash devastating combos against the oligarchs and their henchmen controlling a dystopian city.

Deep Roguelike Gameplay
- Procedurally generated runs ensure every attempt feels fresh
- Build synergistic decks from cybernetic hardware and wetware insights
- Permanent meta-progression unlocks new cards, abilities, and story paths
- Three acts culminating in a final Act IV boss fight

A Narrative That Matters
You're a cyborg resistance fighter battling through a corrupt city to free the people from the Oligarch's rule. Each death brings resurrection via recloning. A cast of animated characters with their own agendas and stories unfolds as you make friends and enemies. Nothing is as it seems in this twisting story.

Based on Behavioral Science
Designed using principles from contingency management therapy, Hard Reset transforms task completion into genuine gameplay. This isn't a checklist with RPG elements bolted on—it's a complete game that harnesses your real-world momentum.

Features:
Strategic deckbuilding with meaningful choices
A checklist which supports basically every possible task/routine type
Animated cyberpunk art for all major characters and most cards
No ads, no manipulative monetization
Created by a solo developer obsessed with checklists

Hard Reset is free to download and play with unlimited map movement for the first 7 days. After that, the game remains completely unchanged except the free tier is limited to 1 map movement per day. Hard Reset Premium is available as a quarterly subscription, annual subscription, or one-time lifetime purchase.

Nouveautés (v1.0.03)

* [BALANCE] Demoralize now inflicts 1 Vulnerable on both the targeted enemy and the player
* [UX UPDATE] Reduced the time needed to hold down the 'hold to skip' button during the intro to 500ms from 1000ms
* [UI FIX] The Auto-Block values for Reinforced Arms and Legs are correct, but displayed the old values in the Codex
* [BUG FIX] The timing for the Horror's emitting Horrified cards into the player's deck was a bit off. I also sped it up a bit.
* [BUG FIX] HP gained from aborbing HP wasn't being limited to the hp left for the target (Spider Form's passive, Syphon (card), and Grey Goo (card))
* [BUG FIX] HP could be absorbed from invulnerable enemies (though they took no damage)
* [BUG FIX] The Truth can Hurt Insight adds 4 flat damage to Demoralize, but it was hitting a random enemy and it was affected by buffs/debuffs
* [BUG FIX] The Fully Loaded achievement wasn't triggering and selling SotA components wasn't working due to some code using the old 'prototype' name
* [BUG FIX] The Refinery event was being silently removed from the pool of events after the player's first death. This is due to a name change as well.
* [BUG FIX] Playing Bite Back multiple times would create separate stacks of Sharp
* [BUG FIX] When the player has Sharp, enemies weren't taking damage unless they did hp damage
* [BUG FIX] When the enemy has Sharp and the player has any of Neosteel fists, Liquid Polyalloy Arms, or Insights which reduce damage, the damage from Sharp wasn't being reduced like it should
* [BUG FIX] Tapping the screen during a dialogue event where there was only one container of dialogue wasn't advancing to completion like it should
* [BUG FIX] 10 events were being removed from the pool after the player died once. Whoops!
* [BUG FIX] Neosteel Jaws was showing its passive as a buff in the active effects tray
