Create and manage multiple events: Perfect for planners, churches, schools, and DIY weddings

Custom settings per track: Set crossfade timing, fade-in and fade-out durations, delays, and notes

Live Mode: Big, easy-to-use buttons with built-in countdowns and smooth transitions

Cue Cards: Display notes and scripts for each track so you never miss your moment

100% offline: Everything is saved locally and backed up through iCloud like any other app so no Wi-Fi is needed

Nouveautés (v1.3.8)

A complete visual rewrite, plus the changes you’ve been asking for behind the scenes.

A new look, top to bottom

SimpleFade has a completely new design. Warm cream surfaces while you’re planning, deep navy in Live Mode while you’re running the show. The app shifts visually the second you enter Live. Calmer typography, quieter colors. Built to feel more like a control surface than a music app.

Live Mode, rebuilt

Three dedicated screens: one for music, one for silent breaks, and one for announcement cues. What you need next is always the obvious thing on screen. A new drift indicator at the top shows whether you’re on schedule or running over. The new crossfade panel lets you watch transitions happen in real time, with the current track fading down while the next track comes up.

Announcements wait for you, not the clock

Announcement cues no longer auto-advance when their duration ends. The volunteer taps Continue when the host is actually done speaking. No more countdown covering your script mid-announcement.

Your library is safer

Audio files now live in a location iOS excludes from iCloud backups, so multi-GB wedding playlists no longer inflate your phone backup size. If the app ever has trouble opening your library, your data is preserved instead of deleted, and you’ll see a banner explaining exactly what happened.

Smaller things you’ll notice

• Drag the handle on any track to reorder it. Swipe left to delete.
• Tap the queue button in Live Mode to jump ahead to upcoming tracks or back to tracks you’ve already played.
• Tap the ··· menu in the event editor for Event Timing, Rename Event, and Event Settings.
• Lock screen Play, Pause, and Next controls now work reliably across the entire session.
• Fade out and pause now keeps your place. Tap again to fade back in.

Behind the scenes

Faster launch times, cleaner background audio handling, and a full rebuild of the audio engine for fewer dropouts during long events. Requires iOS 17 or newer.
