Description
Dense is a news widget that actually contains the news. Not one headline with a link to Safari, but multiple stories in dense, readable prose, right on your home screen. Green highlights show what changed since you last looked. No feeds, no links, no scrolling. You read the news quickly and put your device down.
Pick from multiple topics. Each digest rewrites itself every few minutes as stories break, so your widget is always current. It's like a living briefing on your home screen that updates throughout the day.
The app lets you go deeper. Filter stories by mood and impact. Slide toward Bloom for uplifting news, or toward Doom for stories with gravity. The Story Explorer lets you see every headline on an interactive chart, filtered by sentiment and weight. Tap any dot to read the story.
Dense is totally free. No subscriptions, no upsells, no ads, no tracking. Just the digest.
Works on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
Dense is built by Peter, an indie developer in Portland, Oregon, who wanted a better way to stay informed without the endless scroll.
