MeshCore Support
Flaresat now works with both Meshtastic and MeshCore LoRa firmware. Pins, routes, areas, text chat, and live location all work over either mesh. Select your firmware in Device Controls before scanning.
Off-Grid is now Radio
We renamed off-grid mode to Radio throughout the app, same map, same chat, zero internet. All your existing Radio groups are untouched.
Organizations
Nest multiple groups under a single workspace with Admin and Member roles, invite codes, and full member management.
Geofence Alert Zones
Draw any boundary on the map and get a push notification the instant someone crosses it. Choose entry, exit, or both per zone. Works in the background and over the Radio mesh without internet.
Background Live Share
Tap LIVE and choose a duration, 15 min, 1 hour, or 8 hours. Your location broadcasts even with the app in the background or screen locked. A system indicator keeps you in control.
QR Codes & Invite Links
Every group has a scannable QR code in Group Settings. Radio groups now have a shareable invite link too, send a tap-to-join URL even when someone isn't next to you.
In-App Announcement Inbox
A bell icon on the home screen shows release notes, tips, and updates without leaving the app. Unread announcements show a badge.
Radio Delivery Status
Every outgoing Radio message shows a delivery indicator, Pending, Sent, or Failed. If a map item fails, the create sheet stays open so you can retry.
Also in this update:
• Message replies, press any message to reply with inline context
• Voice notes, press the mic in chat to record and play back audio (online groups only)
• Unread badges, group cards show a dot for unread messages
• Smarter chat, messages show sending state; failed messages stay visible to retry
• Onboarding walkthrough, new users get a guided tour; existing users see a What's New summary after updates
• Redesigned sign-in screens with better contrast and a cleaner layout
• Mesh Protocol v4, 100x more precise coordinates (~1.1 cm), erasure coding for lossy mesh links
• Dozens of UI & UX fixes, smoother flows, better error messages, clearer feedback
