Description

Plastic is a companion app for vinyl lovers. Scan any record in your collection or at the store to instantly identify it, explore its details, and keep track of what you own.

SCAN & IDENTIFY
Point your camera at any album cover or center label. Plastic uses advanced image recognition to identify the record in seconds — even rare or obscure pressings. When a cover doesn’t have visible text, deep visual search helps find a match.

EXPLORE EVERY DETAIL
Once identified, view the full tracklist, preview songs, and explore pressing information. See which versions exist, compare marketplace pricing, and understand the rarity of the record.

BUILD YOUR COLLECTION
Add scanned records to your personal collection with one tap. Browse everything you own in one place, organized and easy to navigate. Keep a wishlist for records you are still hunting for.

LISTEN & PREVIEW
Preview tracks directly in the app through Apple Music, YouTube, and SoundCloud. Discover music from the records you scan without leaving Plastic.

YOUR CRATE-DIGGING COMPANION
Scan records while browsing in record stores to quickly understand what you are looking at. Check pricing data and pressing details before buying.

FREE TO USE
Scan up to 10 records per month for free. Upgrade to Plastic Pro for unlimited scanning and full access to all features.

Nouveautés (v1.32)

What's new:

Vinyl color is easier to spot when comparing versions now. When color data is available, Plastic treats it as a real pressing detail, so limited and colored variants stand out more clearly in the picker list.

Focused reliability updates:

Release-only Discogs records now stay properly connected after a scan, so rare pressings without a Discogs master are less likely to show up as plain local albums in Recent Scans.

Scanning and recognition are sturdier under the hood too: reopened albums refresh more cleanly, and pressing details like release dates, format notes, labels, catalog numbers, and vinyl color are preserved more consistently.

We also tightened Apple Music matching, especially for compilations and tricky tracklists, so previews should be less likely to duplicate or drift to the wrong version.
