WELCOME TO THE OLD TOWN CHURCHES OF ZURICH
Discover the five reformed old town churches in the city centre, learn the stories behind the history and get to know personalities from over a thousand years of the history of city and church. You can choose between three audio tours.

1. The Old Town Church Walk
Follow a picturesque route through Zurich's old town – from St. Peter's Church with the largest tower clock face in Europe, on to the elegant Fraumünster with its world-famous Chagall windows, to the legendary Wasserkirche (Water Church) above the Limmat River and the imposing Grossmünster – the birthplace of the Swiss Reformation. Finally, you arrive at the Predigerkirche church in the lively Niederdorf district.

2. Fraumünster Tour
Experience the history of the former women's abbey, which was handed over to the city by the Abbess Katharina von Zimmern during the Reformation. Be spellbound by Marc Chagall's colourful windows, discover works by Augusto Giacometti and learn more about the cloister and the crypt.

3. Grossmünster Tour
Visit Zurich's landmark, where the Zurich reformer Ulrich Zwingli once preached. Discover architectural marvels such as the original windows by Sigmar Polke and the Christmas window by Augusto Giacometti, the cloister and, last but not least, the impressive view from the tower over the rooftops of the city.

HOW THE APP WORKS
- Free and user-friendly: Simply download the app, select your language, plug in your headphones – and off you go! All stations are provided with pictures and precise location information.
- Flexible and interactive: During the old town church walk, the map shows you your position (using GPS) – you decide whether you want to follow the suggested route or choose your own. The Fraumünster and Grossmünster tours are suitable for on-site use during official opening hours – but they can also be experienced comfortably in the hotel, on the train or at home.
- Available offline: The app also works without an internet connection – ideal for avoiding data roaming abroad.
