Description
Every news app shows you what happened. Signal shows you why it matters.
Signal reads 60+ sources, clusters related stories with AI, and reveals the connections between them. A trade war triggers an earnings miss. An earnings miss triggers a hiring freeze. You never see the chain. Until now.
HOW IT WORKS
Signal fetches news from 60+ sources across tech, world, business, science, politics, sports, and entertainment. It groups related articles into story clusters, ranks them by importance, and delivers a briefing of 10 cards, each with an AI-generated headline, summary, and analysis.
Swipe through your briefing. Tap any story for the full picture: every source, a development timeline, multiple perspectives, and connections to other stories. When you've seen everything, Signal tells you: "You're caught up. Go live your life."
CHOOSE HOW YOU READ
Signal offers three writing styles that change how every story is presented. Headlines, summaries, and analysis throughout the entire app:
Off: Original headlines and snippets straight from sources. AI still curates and groups your feed or generates timelines and predictions, it just doesn't rewrite anything.
Brief: Wire-service style. Short, punchy, just the facts. The fastest way to get through your briefing.
Narrative: Full context and analysis, like a senior correspondent filing a story. Connects events to their broader significance.
AI THAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE
Signal runs AI entirely on your device. Signal ML is a lightweight on-device model that downloads once and runs locally on any iPhone. On iPhone 15 Pro and later, Apple Intelligence provides an additional option. For the deepest analysis, bring your own Claude API key. Nothing leaves your phone unless you choose it.
STORY CONNECTIONS
See how stories relate across categories. Signal detects shared entities, cross-domain links, and emerging patterns. The butterfly effect of the news, made visible.
PREDICTIONS
Signal doesn't just tell you what happened. It tells you what might happen next. AI-generated predictions with confidence levels and timeframes, grounded in the facts from your briefing.
KNOWLEDGE MEMORY
Signal builds a local knowledge base from your briefings. When a story develops, it connects new events to what happened before, giving you context no other app can.
BRIEFING ON YOUR SCHEDULE
Set a refresh interval or pick exact times of day. Morning, lunch, evening, late night. Whatever fits your routine. Signal delivers a fresh briefing every time, with notifications when it's ready.
AUDIO BRIEFING
Listen to your news read aloud with play, pause, and skip controls, delivered in whichever writing style you've chosen.
PRIVACY FIRST
No accounts required. No analytics. No tracking. No servers. Your reading habits and data stay on your device. iCloud sync is optional and uses your own Apple account.

v1.2.0 — Your schedule, your briefings
Added scheduled briefings. You can now choose between the existing interval timer and a new schedule mode. Pick exact times of day to receive your briefs. Set "8 AM, 1 PM, 6 PM, 11 PM" and Signal delivers at those times. Up to 12 daily briefing times, fully customizable.
A new Briefing Schedule page in settings lets you switch modes, add and edit times with the familiar clock wheel, and see your next briefing countdown at a glance.
