StrokesIQ brings strokes-gained analysis - the same statistical method used by Tour professionals and coaches - to your game. Log every shot during a round and the app calculates exactly how many strokes each part of your game is costing or saving you compared to a baseline. No sensors, no GPS, no complicated setup. Just you, your phone, and honest data about your game.

How it works

Before each shot, record your category (tee, approach, chip, bunker, or putt), where the ball is lying, and how far you are from the hole. After the shot, record where it ended up. StrokesIQ does the rest, calculating a strokes-gained value for every shot based on statistical baselines calibrated to your handicap level.

Your results are compared against golfers who play at a similar level to you - not Tour professionals. If you shoot in the 90s, your strokes-gained numbers reflect that context, making the data meaningful and actionable rather than discouraging. Players who want to benchmark against PGA Tour averages can enable Tour Pro mode at any time.

At the end of a round you get a full breakdown across four categories: Off the Tee, Approach, Around the Green, and Putting. A positive number means you outperformed baseline. A negative number tells you exactly where to focus.

Know your game

The dashboard shows your most recent round at a glance, with a visual breakdown of your strokes-gained performance across all four categories. Over time, trend charts reveal whether your game is improving and which areas are moving in the right direction.

The weakest area analysis compares your last ten rounds and identifies the single category costing you the most strokes per round. It then surfaces targeted practice drills designed specifically for that area, so your time on the range is never wasted.

Range Mode - Pro

Take your practice sessions further. Range Mode lets you log carry distances at the driving range, club by club. After each session, see your average carry, consistency (dispersion), and shot count for every club you hit. A gap analysis highlights where your yardage ladder has holes. Optionally log whether each shot went left, straight, or right - direction percentages appear in your session summary and on the dashboard.

Pause and resume

Golf takes time. If you need to stop mid-round, pause it and come back later. Your progress is saved and the round picks up exactly where you left it.

StrokesIQ is free to download. The free tier includes up to five completed rounds per month, full strokes-gained tracking, and your round history - everything you need to start understanding your game.

StrokesIQ Pro unlocks unlimited rounds, trend charts across your last 5, 10, and 20 rounds, weakest area analysis, personalised practice drills, club tracking per shot, Strokes Gained broken down by club, My Bag customisation, range sessions with carry stats and gap analysis, course library, and unlimited paused rounds. Privacy

Your golf data belongs to you. StrokesIQ does not sell your data or share it with third parties. Rounds are stored securely in your personal account and can be exported at any time via CSV.
