HackStack

par Jacob Woodfield

v1.0.2 68 Mo Universel 4+

Description

Build your hacking empire from nothing.

HackStack is an idle clicker set in a cybersecurity underworld. You tap to run exploits, deploy tools that earn while you sleep, research new tech, and build out your rig. It's a cyberpunk parody of the infosec world with real hacking history baked into every corner.

EXECUTE exploits to earn CREDS, your in-game currency. Start with a humble Port Scanner. End up running Neural Exploits and a Digital Consciousness. Every tool you deploy keeps earning even when you close the app.

RESEARCH 24 tools across 6 categories. Each one comes with an intel card covering real cybersecurity history and lore. 177 cards to find.

BUILD YOUR RIG. Upgrade your CPU, RAM, GPU, Storage, Cooling, and PSU. Better hardware means faster research and access to higher-tier tools.

EARN CERTIFICATIONS across three branches: Offensive, Defensive, and Management. 23 certs, 69 tiers. They shape how you play and what you can unlock.

SURVIVE BREACHES. Phishing attacks, ransomware, DDoS, insider threats. They show up unannounced, they mess with your income, and you need to deal with them fast.

COMPLETE DAILY OPS for XP. Quick wins, standard missions, and challenge-tier operations. Something different every day.

PRESTIGE when you're ready. Wipe your progress, earn Shadow Creds, buy permanent upgrades, and come back stronger.

Free to play. No pay-to-win. Made by one developer who thought Cookie Clicker needed more firmware implants.

Nouveautés (v1.0.2)

Bug fixes from this round:

- Breach events vanishing when you backgrounded the app. If the system terminated HackStack mid-breach, the in-flight event could silently disappear with no Event Log entry. The state now persists across cold launches; you'll find the breach exactly where you left it, with the timer adjusted for time spent away. (Matt, thank you for the report.)

- Data Echo curve migration modal stuck on repeat. The migration message now properly remembers it's been shown, so it shows you exactly once, then politely retires. Matt, thank you for the report.

- Thermal events were quietly dodging the spawn pool at certain cooling tiers. Fixed: if your rig's running hot, you'll see the throttle event the moment it hits 80, every time.

- "All Upgrades" rig milestone was unreachable. The denominator was hardcoded to 27 (matching the adjacent "Tier Sum Max" milestone) but the actual ceiling is 25. CPU and RAM start at Tier 1 and don't count toward "purchased upgrades." Max-rig players can now claim the missing 108 XP. Matt, thank you for the report.

- The final tier circle stayed unfilled when you'd completed a whole category. Off-by-one in the deriver: when "active tier" is clamped at the maximum, the "completed tiers" count was active minus one, which excludes the genuinely-complete final tier. Now reads the canonical completion count directly. Visual only; your actual progress was always correct.
