PupiLUX:Pupillary Light Reflex

par R.Tej Health Analytics Private Limited

v1.06 48 Mo Universel 17+

Description

PupiLUX transforms your iPhone into a quantitative pupillometer. Perform bilateral pupillary light reflex (PLR) tests in under 60 seconds — no additional hardware, no consumables, no training required.

WHAT IT MEASURES
— Baseline Pupil Diameter (BPD)
— Constriction Percentage (CP)
— Latency (LAT)
— Maximum Constriction Velocity (MCV)
— Average Dilation Velocity (ADV)
— 75% Recovery Time (T75)
— Relative Afferent Pupillary Defect (RAPD)
— Anisocoria (baseline asymmetry)

HOW IT WORKS
1. Position the iPhone rear camera facing the patient (~12 inches)
2. Voice-guided bilateral recording captures both eyes simultaneously
3. On-device analysis measures pupil dynamics frame-by-frame
4. PupiLUX Pro Report generated with reference ranges

USE CASES
— Neuro-ICU: quantitative pupil monitoring between examination rounds
— Emergency: rapid pupil assessment for trauma triage and documentation

KEY FEATURES
— Bilateral simultaneous testing — one recording, both eyes
— All analysis on-device — no images leave your iPhone
— PupiLUX Pro Report (PDF) with reference ranges and status indicators
— No subscription — pay per test with prepaid credits
— 100 free tests on install, no card required

BUILT BY A CLINICIAN
Created by Dr. Ajay Bakshi — AIIMS-trained neurosurgeon, former CEO of Max Healthcare, Manipal Hospitals, and IHH-India. Built on peer-reviewed clinical evidence and validated against established pupillometry literature.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
PupiLUX is a quantitative measurement and screening tool. It is not a medical device and is not registered with the FDA, CDSCO, or any regulatory body. It does not provide clinical interpretation, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. All measurements should be interpreted by a qualified healthcare professional.

Nouveautés (v1.06)

Fixes
• Demo video audio now plays correctly when the iPhone is set to silent.

Pro Report
• Banner and findings now read "Asymmetric Pupillary Light Response" / "Light Response Asymmetry", with a clarifying methods note that PupiLUX measures bilateral light response asymmetry as a smartphone-derived surrogate for clinical RAPD and does not perform a swinging-flashlight test.
• Disclaimer aligned to the regulatory measurement-tool framing.
• Each Pro Report PDF now shows the per-test L/R valid-frame percentages, so the clinician can judge bilateral comparison reliability at a glance.

Measurement stability
• Improved outlier rejection during the pre-flash baseline phase (no impact on the constriction-recovery signal). Reduces run-to-run variance on low-amplitude traces.
