Vigilant Ear

v1.0.3 5 Mo Universel 4+

Description

Acoustic awareness made simple. Real-time siren & vehicle detection with directional guidance and live radar map — designed for the deaf and hard of hearing.
VigilantEar turns your iPhone into a personal sound radar with on-chip Machine Learning sound classification. It identifies the acute sounds of sirens (such as from emergency vehicles and motorcycles) and broadband sounds from other vehicles in real time, and provides directional information (bearing + distance + doppler tracking) to help you stay aware to what's happening around you. For other users it identifies sound tracks, musical instruments, and over 300+ sound classifications...even in loud environments.

VigilantEar is an experimental research and accessibility aid. It is not a certified life-saving device. Tracking accuracy may vary based on environmental factors, wind shear, multipath reflections (echoes), and hardware calibration. Use situational awareness at all times.

Key Features:
Real-time detection of sirens, traffic, and loud noises
Accurate directional guidance with live map visualization
Multi-target tracking with smooth comet-tail trails
Road snapping for realistic positioning
Haptic feedback and emergency alerts
Neural ticker showing raw ML sound labels
Fully on-device processing for maximum privacy

Whether you're walking, cycling, driving, or just sitting on the couch, VigilantEar helps you visually “hear” what’s happening around you — even in noisy environments. Built specifically with the deaf and hard-of-hearing community in mind.
