THREE WAYS TO TIME A PITCH
• Audio — Tap to start, then let your phone's microphone catch the impact of ball-on-mitt or ball-on-bat. Works surprisingly well in game conditions, including moderate crowd noise.
• Hold — Press and hold when the ball is released, release when it lands. Good for one-person timing.
• Tap-Tap — Tap at release, tap again at impact. Simple and reliable.

Ball Speed is a training and practice tool, not an MLB-grade radar gun. The audio and tap triggers carry small timing variations, so take readings as a useful estimate rather than an exact number. Accuracy improves with a consistent setup (same distance, same capture method, same phone position).
