ShopCalc: Machinist Calculator

par Double Vision USA LLC

v1.7.21 1 Mo Universel 4+

Description

The machinist calculator your shop uses every day — speeds and feeds, tap drill, threading, and conversational G-code, all offline.

Stop guessing your speeds and feeds. Stop hunting for the tap drill chart on a greasy notebook page. Stop typing G-code by hand for simple ops. ShopCalc puts every machinist calculation a tap or two away — fully offline, no account, no ads.

WHAT'S INSIDE

• Speeds & Feeds — RPM, SFM, IPM, IPR for any tool, any material
• Tap Drill — UNC, UNF, metric, full chart with class fits
• Threading — single-point thread cutting (60° UN, ISO metric, ACME)
• Drilling — peck schedules, point lengths, blind-hole depths
• Drill Chart — number, letter, fractional, metric — all sizes side-by-side
• Boring & Reaming — finish allowance and feed corrections
• G-Code Generators — facing, threading, drilling, simple OD/ID
• Bolt Circle Generator — XY points + canned cycle for any pattern
• Lathe Jaw Bore — soft-jaw boring cycles with spring-pass option
• G-Code Reference — quick lookup for G/M codes and program structure
• Conversions — feed/speed unit conversions, taper math
• Metal Weight — bar stock, plate, tube, by material and shape
• Surface Finish — Ra ↔ Rz, common roughness conversions
• Tool Library — save your shop's tools, pull settings instantly
• Reference — material hardness, common tap sizes, common drill sizes

WHO IT'S FOR

Manual machinists, CNC operators, programmers, apprentices, hobbyists. If you spend any time at a lathe, mill, or VMC, ShopCalc earns its place on your phone in the first week.

FREE vs PRO

Free forever: speeds & feeds, tap drill, threading, conversions, drill chart, G-code reference.
Pro unlocks G-code generators, bolt circle, jaw bore, tool library, metal weight, surface finish, and the full reference set. One-time purchase or subscription.

Nouveautés (v1.7.21)

What's New in ShopCalc — v1.7.21

Custom Materials (Pro).

The 24 built-in grades cover most shops, but every shop has a heat lot, a regional alloy, or an in-house spec that doesn't show up in any handbook. v1.7.21 lets Pro users save their own materials — name, density (lb/in³ or g/cm³), HSS and carbide SFM brackets, and chip load at a quarter-inch end mill — and use them everywhere a built-in row works: the Speeds & Feeds auto-fill, the Weight calculator, and the reference table.

Custom materials are stored locally on the device. Nothing about your shop's heat treat ever leaves your phone. Up to 50 saved rows.

Free experience is unchanged: every built-in material, every lookup, every reference table, all stay free. The "+ Custom material" entry sits next to the dropdown so you can see it's there without losing what you already had.

Plus a small fix: in-app bug reports and Suggest a feature now send correctly when previewing the app outside a normal store install. Funnel telemetry stays quiet on those previews so dev consoles aren't noisy.

Always confirm SFM and chip-load numbers against your cutter manufacturer before production cuts.
