RecipeScale is a recipe scaling and conversion app built for home cooks who want clean math and readable measurements, not awkward decimal fractions and rounding mistakes.

SMART SCALING
Drag the serving slider from 1 to 100. Every ingredient updates with kitchen-friendly rounding. One-third cup times two becomes two-thirds cup, not 0.67. Three teaspoons becomes one tablespoon. Fifteen hundred milliliters becomes one and a half liters. The app understands cooking, not just arithmetic.

KITCHEN & COOKING CONVERSIONS
Toggle between US, UK, and metric units with one tap. Grams, ounces, cups, tablespoons, teaspoons, milliliters, liters. US cups and UK cups are different, and RecipeScale knows the difference. Unicode fractions in your source (½, ¾, ⅓) are parsed correctly, even when combined with whole numbers like 1½.

NON-LINEAR SCALING HINTS
Scaling is not always linear. When you double a recipe, you often want less than double the salt, less than double the vanilla, less than double the baking soda. RecipeScale flags about 40 ingredients where linear scaling breaks and suggests the percentage real chefs use. The honest math stays visible. The suggestion is shown inline. You decide.

COOKING MODE
Tap through each ingredient as you add it to the bowl. Tap through each step as you complete it. Progress bar fills. Screen stays awake. Haptic feedback on each check. A small celebration when you finish mise en place. If your phone reclaims the app while you're mid-recipe, everything is exactly where you left it when you come back.

RecipeScale's parser handles parenthetical amounts like "1 (14 oz) can tomatoes", distinguishes tablespoon from teaspoon by capitalization, recognizes ingredient units like cloves, slices, and eggs, and stops parsing when it sees "Instructions:" so your method stays out of your ingredient list.
