123 Words is a joyful learning playground for kids ages 2–7. Read, spell, count, and race the clock — all in one beautifully designed app made with love for grandkids. No ads, no accounts, no internet required.

RACE!
Pick a 1- or 2-minute race, then swipe between five mini-games — Spell It, Word Scramble, Memory Match, Listen & Pick, and Count It — answering as many as you can. One shared timer ticks down at the top while the score chip counts up. Earn 1, 2, or 3 stars (at 10, 20, and 30 points) and track your personal best for each duration. Kids race themselves, race a sibling, race a grandparent.

PRACTICE
A separate, untimed reader. Swipe through 220+ carefully chosen short words. The app speaks each word aloud, then lights up the letters one by one as it spells them out. Every word has its own picture — open-source emoji, AI-generated illustrations, or crisp system icons. Two-finger tap any picture to see where it came from.
