TICKETS WITHOUT THE SCAM
The single biggest problem in Cambridge student life: ticket scams. Resold formals that don't exist, May Ball tickets sent over peer-to-peer payment apps that vanish, last-minute swap tickets from people you've never met. The Punt fixes this with built-in buyer protection on every ticket sale. Your money is held safely until the seller delivers and you confirm.
A REAL MARKETPLACE
Sell or buy what students actually trade — gowns, textbooks, college stash, sports kit, lab coats, ball dresses, bikes, end-of-term room clearouts. Every transaction is protected by escrow. Buyers pay through the app, sellers deliver, buyers confirm, and only then is the money released. No bank transfers to strangers. No "send half upfront."
Pricing is shown upfront, in full, before you tap pay. No hidden fees added at checkout. Compliant with the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024.

Share posts, events, marketplace listings, communities, and profiles using the standard iOS share sheet. Tapping a shared link opens it directly in The Punt; if the recipient doesn't have the app yet, they'll be sent to the App Store.
Privacy
Private communities are now properly hidden from anyone who isn't a member or hasn't been invited. Their existence, name, and details no longer appear in the community picker or browse list.
Trust and reputation
Every profile now has a reputation score. Earn reputation when your posts are upvoted, when people comment on your posts, and when you complete a marketplace sale through escrow. Lose it when content is removed.
Marketplace
Clearer pricing on escrow listings: the price you see is the price you pay, with the platform fee already included. Sellers set what they want to receive; buyers see one honest number. Stronger safeguards around listings that are mid-sale so payment records stay intact.
Moderation and safety
All user-uploaded text and images are now screened before they go live. You can report any post, comment, listing, message, or profile. Block other users to remove them from your feed, search, chats, and marketplace. Suspended accounts are properly locked out, but can still delete their account on their way out.

Permanently delete your account from Settings. Cleaner onboarding with a clear 18+ age confirmation and updated terms.
Updated Terms and Privacy Policy
On first launch, you'll be asked to acknowledge our updated documents. The main change is a clearer disclosure of how we use OpenAI's moderation service to automatically screen submissions for harmful content before they go live.

Tapping send, post, or buy multiple times in quick succession will no longer create duplicates. Plus a long list of small fixes to notifications, the events feed, ticket sorting, and image uploads.
