Thread Doctor is built for Matter-over-Thread troubleshooting in Apple Home.

It scans your Thread mesh and visualizes the topology as a graph, helping you identify weak signals, possible interference, poor routing, overloaded thread routers, low-battery devices, parent-child relationships, and potential single points of failure.

Thread Doctor uses diagnostic information published by your paired accessories. It is designed for Apple Home setups with compatible Matter-over-Thread devices from brands such as IKEA, Aqara, Eve, Nanoleaf, Yale, Hue, and others, depending on each device’s firmware, diagnostics, and Thread support.

Send a structured snapshot of your mesh to OpenAI or Anthropic using your own API key. Get ranked findings that each pair a real problem with a concrete fix — citing your actual signal values and accessory names. Preview the outbound payload before sending.

• Scan history
Browse past scans, compare snapshots, catch regressions. Run AI Diagnose against any saved scan — useful when "what was wrong on Tuesday?" is the question.

• Snapshot export
Share the raw mesh as a JSON file — for technicians, GitHub issues, social media posts, own research or scripts.

Thread Doctor is designed to work locally.

• No backend, analytics, telemetry, accounts, or third-party SDKs.
• Pro is verified locally via Apple StoreKit.
• Your LLM API key is stored only on-device in iOS Keychain.
• Matter and Thread diagnostics are read through Apple Home APIs
• AI Diagnose sends data only when you tap Analyze, after you preview the outbound payload

• Matter accessories paired into Apple Home
• Wi-Fi connection to the same network as your Border Routers.
• AI Diagnose requires your own OpenAI or Anthropic API key

Thread Doctor is not Fing or Net Analyzer. It does not scan Wi-Fi.
