Where is my data stored?

All recordings are encrypted and securely stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS), while account credentials are segregated on DigitalOcean. Both adhere to strict, enterprise-level privacy and security compliance.

Does OpenAI use my recordings to train their AI models?

No. We have a GDPR-compliant agreement with OpenAI that prohibits them from using your data to train their models. Your audio journal transcriptions and analyses are processed securely and privately.

Can I disable the AI features?

Yes of course! We understand AI isn't for everyone so we created a Session Designer so that you can control exactly how your sessions look.

Who besides me can access my data?

Your entries are private. AudioDiary employees do not access your recordings or transcripts unless required by law (e.g., a valid court order). Third-party providers (AWS, DigitalOcean) follow strict security protocols and cannot access your data without legal mandates.

How do I permanently delete my data?

You can delete individual entries or your entire account within the app at any time, or contact our friendly support and we will be happy to help!
