Description

Kuta is the treadmill training app for runners who want structured workouts without memorizing every speed change.

Choose from 23 coach-built treadmill sessions, including beginner intervals, HIIT, tempo runs, hill workouts, 12-3-30, VO2max sessions, and Norwegian-inspired threshold training. New in 2.0: describe a session in plain language and Kuta drafts it for you on-device.

NEW IN 2.0: AI WORKOUT CREATION

Kuta Pro now includes an on-device AI workout builder. Type something like "30-minute threshold run with 4 hill repeats", "Quick 20-minute VO2max session", "Fun fartlek with sprints and some hills", or "2-hour marathon block" and Kuta drafts a full warmup, main set, recoveries, and cooldown using your configured paces.

Review the draft, edit any interval, then save. The same plan runs in active mode, shows in history, repeats from the Last Workout card, and exports to Strava.

ON-DEVICE AND PRIVATE

Workouts are generated on your iPhone using Apple Foundation Models when Apple Intelligence is available. No cloud. No account. No prompt history sent anywhere. When Apple Intelligence is unavailable or turned off, Kuta falls back to a deterministic on-device synthesizer, so a safe prompt always produces a workout.

EXACT SPEED CUES

Kuta speaks every speed change out loud. Voice cues mix on top of Spotify and Apple Music at full volume. There is no ducking, no pausing, no awkward audio handoff. You hear the speed, you change the treadmill, you keep running.

INCLINE REMINDERS

When a workout calls for incline, Kuta shows the target percent on the active screen and announces it. Kuta does not pretend to control your treadmill. It tells you what to set and trusts you to set it.

REAL TREADMILL DISTANCE

Distance is calculated from the speed and time you actually ran. No GPS lies. No "0.0 km" because the app thought you were standing still. Standing rests, distance intervals, and mixed sessions all show accurate totals.

PACE PROFILE

Configure your marathon, half marathon, threshold, 10K, and 5K paces once. Every preset and every AI-generated workout uses those paces automatically. Change a pace and your workouts update.

STRAVA-READY SUMMARIES

Every completed workout produces a Strava description with the interval structure, total distance, incline, and recovery style. Copy and paste into Strava in two taps.

REPEAT ANY WORKOUT

Tap a recent workout from the home screen to see the full breakdown, then repeat it with one tap. AI-generated workouts repeat exactly, interval for interval.

TREADMILL-SPECIFIC INTENT

The builder understands treadmill running vocabulary: marathon and half marathon blocks, ultra and long aerobic runs, threshold and tempo, Norwegian-style sessions, VO2max, 5K and 10K repeats, fartlek, hills, and recovery runs. Prompts are routed to coherent session structures instead of being flattened.

STRUCTURED WORKOUT PLANS

A new structured plan model carries pyramids, mixed time and distance intervals, and per-interval inclines through setup, execution, summary, history, and repeat. Past workouts now show the exact session you ran, not a flattened approximation.

SAFETY FIRST

Prompts that mention injury, pregnancy, medical conditions, or unsafe exertion are politely refused. Generated drafts are validated and clamped before they reach the run screen. Incline is capped at 15%. Distance recoveries must have an active recovery speed. Speeds stay within Kuta's limits.
