At The Press Pilates, we’re all about good movement and a welcoming space. We’re a neighborhood studio that cares about doing Pilates well and making you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. When you step through our doors, you won’t feel intimidated or unsure if you belong. You’ll feel settled. Invited. At ease.
We created The Press for people who want more than just a workout. Yes, you’ll get stronger. Yes, you’ll stretch and move with intention. But you’ll also be greeted by name, supported by instructors who truly pay attention, and surrounded by a community that feels easy and genuine. We believe how you feel in a space matters just as much as how you move in it.
Pilates, at its core, is about thoughtful, controlled movement. It’s about learning how your body works and building strength in a way that supports your everyday life. It’s not about rushing through reps or leaving completely exhausted. It’s about quality over quantity. It’s about moving with purpose. That’s what we focus on here.
From the lighting to the music to the pace of class, everything is designed to feel calm, focused, and approachable. We want you to walk in and take a deep breath. We want the studio to feel like a reset in the middle of your busy day. The energy in the room is steady and encouraging. You’ll be challenged, but never overwhelmed. You’ll work hard, but in a way that feels sustainable.
Whether it’s your very first time on a reformer or you’ve been doing Pilates for years, we’ll meet you where you are. Starting something new can feel intimidating, especially if you’re not sure what to expect. That’s why we take the time to explain movements clearly and make sure you understand what you’re doing and why. If you’re experienced, we’ll help you refine your form and build depth in your practice. There’s always another layer to explore.
Our instructors offer clear guidance, hands-on support when you need it, and thoughtful progressions to help you grow stronger over time. We keep our class sizes intentionally small so we can actually see you. We can notice when your shoulders need to soften, when your core can engage a little more, when you’re ready to level up, or when you need to modify. You’re not just following along in a crowded room — you’re being coached.
We believe small details make a big difference. The way your feet are placed. The way your ribs settle. The way you control the return of the carriage instead of letting it snap back. Stretching is a foundational element in every class at The Press. It’s essential for joint health, injury prevention, improved posture, and overall mobility. We prioritize thoughtful stretching to help clients move with greater ease, release tension, and support the body’s ability to move and function at its best. You’ll notice it in every class, a focus on opening tight areas, releasing tension, and preparing your body for movement.
Strengthening is the primary outcome of every class. We focus on building a strong foundation by improving stability, control, and confidence through intentional and well-designed movement. Our approach emphasizes alignment and form to support long-term strength, helping every client feel capable and strong, both in the studio and in everyday life. Over time, you’ll notice strength where you didn’t before, whether that’s in your core, your shoulders, or even just carrying out daily activities with more ease.
