KINHIN · 経行
Zen Walking Meditation. One breath, one step. Developed in Japanese Zen monasteries since the 13th century, kinhin transforms movement into meditation. WalkWith: Zen guides each session with a breathing pacer, synthesized temple bells, and a single mindfulness prompt — inviting you to walk without arriving anywhere.

SHINRIN-YOKU · 森林浴
Forest Bathing. Proven by decades of Japanese research to lower cortisol, reduce blood pressure, and boost immune function. The app opens with a bell and gentle guidance, then steps aside so the forest can do its work. Ambient soundscapes — synthesized forest, wind, or rain — accompany you if you need them.

SANPO · 散歩
Purposeless Walking. The Japanese art of the unhurried stroll — nowhere to be, nothing to achieve. Gentle prompts keep you curious and present without pulling you out of the moment.

KAIZEN WALK · 間歩
Interval Walking Training. Alternate 3 minutes brisk with 3 minutes easy across 3–8 rounds. Based on the Shinshu University IWT protocol — the most clinically-validated walking intervention in Japan — Kaizen Walk builds aerobic fitness gently and sustainably. Your Apple Watch guides each phase with haptics and live heart rate.

A karesansui dry garden evolves through nine stages as you build your practice. The 72 Japanese solar micro-seasons mark time on your home screen. Streak milestones celebrate 7, 21, 30, 60, and 100 days of consistent practice.

All sounds are synthesized in real time — singing bowls, forest soundscapes, and breath-cue tones — with no pre-recorded audio files. Bell strikes gently duck other audio and restore it when they fade.

Walk completely phone-free. Breathing pacer with haptics for Kinhin. Phase transitions, heart rate, and Hard/Easy intensity feedback for Kaizen Walk. Sessions sync automatically to iPhone when you're done.
