Import a GEDCOM file from Ancestry, FamilySearch, MyHeritage, Webtrees, or any genealogy platform — and Heritage Compass maps every place your ancestors lived, worked, married, and were buried. Then, as you move through the world, it watches.
When you’re near a place your ancestor touched, Heritage Compass notifies you.

GETTING STARTED
After importing your GEDCOM file, tap Start Discovering. Heritage Compass will begin geocoding your family tree locations — this process runs in the background and may take several minutes depending on the size of your tree. A progress indicator shows geocoding status. Once complete, Heritage Watch activates automatically.

HERITAGE WATCH
Heritage Compass monitors the 20 ancestral locations closest to your current position. As you move, that set updates automatically — always watching the places most relevant to where you actually are right now.

DEEP PLACE DATA
Tap any place on the map to see every recorded event there — births, marriages, burials, all life events — and every person in your family tree connected to it.
