Lo-Fi Meditation is a guided breathwork app built around the calming power of lo-fi music. Each session pairs a science-backed breathing technique with animated backgrounds that breathe alongside you and help you stay engaged — so the whole world seems to slow down with you. All the tools to rewire your brain in one place.

WHY IT WORKS

Beat-synced breathing
Paying attention in a meditation can be difficult. With this approach, each session synchronizes your inhale and exhale cues to the BPM of the music. It's not just aesthetic — it locks your respiratory rate to an auditory anchor, making it dramatically easier to stay in pattern and actually rewire.

The 4-4-8 and box patterns
Extended exhales activate the parasympathetic nervous system, directly counteracting the stress response. Five minutes of controlled breathing measurably lowers cortisol and supports healthier heart rate variability.

Consistency over intensity
Research shows that short, daily breathwork sessions produce stronger long-term anxiety reduction than occasional long ones. The whole app is built around that — short practices, every day, tracked with streaks so you can see yourself improving.

I'm Brian — the solo developer behind this app. Breathwork genuinely changed my life. It pulled me out of some of the harder chapters I've lived through and gave me a way back to myself when nothing else seemed to work. Lo-Fi Meditation is my attempt to put all of those tools in one calm, uncluttered place — the app I personally reach for every day. If it helps you even a fraction as much as the practice has helped me, it was worth every late night.
