Nouveautés (v5)

DotDays continues to evolve with a stronger focus on simplicity, positivity, and a gentle experience designed for younger users. This update introduces a refreshed Mini Garden experience, improved cycle management tools, cleaner calendar visuals, and multiple quality-of-life enhancements throughout the app.

The Guide tab has been redesigned around the new Mini Garden experience. Mini Garden now grows one active flower at a time, creating a more meaningful and rewarding sense of progress. By default, flowers bloom after 7 days, while users who record completed cycles can enjoy flower growth that adapts to their most recent period duration, safely limited between 3 and 10 days. Completed flowers remain permanently in the garden, allowing users to gradually build a collection of blooms over time. Care actions have been refined into Water, Glow, and Cheer, using soft pastel visuals and positive interactions without penalties for missed days. The garden simply waits and continues growing whenever the user returns.

The Pick a Petal activity has been expanded with 100 unique, teen-safe encouragement notes. Notes will not repeat until all available messages have been shown, helping each interaction feel fresh and uplifting. Daily Dot Notes continue to refresh automatically each day, while Dot Jelly remains a cheerful companion with gentle animations throughout the app.

Cycle management has been significantly improved with support for historical cycle entries. Users can now add, edit, and delete previously recorded cycles through the Saved Cycles section, making it easier to maintain accurate records and improve future predictions. Historical cycle entries integrate with the existing save and unlock flow while keeping the experience simple and intuitive.

The Calendar experience has also been streamlined. The legend has been simplified into a single row containing Period, Prediction, and Reminder indicators. Unused Relationship entries have been removed from the main experience while maintaining compatibility with previously saved data. Marker colors have been updated to provide stronger visual distinction while staying within the soft pastel DotDays aesthetic. Harsh orange and red-like colors have been replaced with gentler tones that better match the overall design language.

A number of visual and readability improvements have been made across the application. The DotDays theme continues to emphasize soft pinks, lavenders, creams, pastel blues, and gentle accent colors. White foreground text usage has been removed where possible to improve readability and accessibility. Error messages, buttons, and action controls have been updated to better align with the friendly DotDays style, replacing aggressive warning colors with softer alternatives.

Prediction features have also been enhanced. In addition to displaying the next predicted cycle date, the Home screen can now show how many days remain until the predicted start date, helping users quickly understand upcoming cycle timing at a glance.

Notification support remains available through the existing reminder system. DotDays continues to request notification permission when required and schedules reminders using local iOS notifications. Notifications currently use the standard iOS notification sound, with custom reminder sounds reserved for future updates.

Together, these improvements make DotDays feel more polished, more personal, and more engaging while preserving the cute, safe, pastel-themed experience that defines the app.
