Description
Readyish helps regular households prepare for common disruptions without fear-based prepper noise. Build a practical 72-hour plan from your location, housing, household, storage space, and concerns. Check local NWS weather alerts, practice tiny Readyish Drills, keep a device-local inventory, read bundled offline articles, open official preparedness videos, mark useful map points, switch to satellite imagery, prepare home or commute map regions, and join a small text-only community with report and block controls. Readyish is general preparedness guidance, not an emergency service or substitute for official instructions.
REAL-TIME EMERGENCY ALERTS
• Severe weather warnings for your area, straight from the National Weather Service
• Urgent warnings push immediately — evacuation orders, fire warnings, civil emergencies, and tsunami warnings from official channels
• County and local emergency alerts (like sheriff evacuation orders) alongside national feeds
• Affected areas draw right on your map — see the zone relative to your home
• Every alert includes plain-language "what to do now" steps, not just a siren
• All alerts are free — no subscription required
(For evacuation orders, always follow Wireless Emergency Alerts and local authorities.)

Nouveautés (v1.2.0)
The Map tab is now a live hazard console:
• See every active U.S. wildfire — size, containment, and mapped perimeters, with alerts when a fire starts near your saved area (you pick the alert radius, 10 to 100 miles)
• Animated weather radar for the past two hours
• Recent earthquakes (M2.5+) from USGS
• Hurricane and tropical storm tracking — forecast cone, track, and intensity from the National Hurricane Center
• The map opens on your current location, with a new dark console look
• Tap any hazard for details: distance from home, timing, and official data sources
Also in this update: every Library article has its own photo, alert notifications land on the exact alert, urgent alerts play a sound even while you're in the app, and Settings now tells you honestly when iOS notifications are off.
For immediate evacuation orders, always follow Wireless Emergency Alerts and local authorities.
