Description
The N.C. Marine Fisheries App is an all-in-one resource for staying connected to North Carolina’s marine and estuarine resources. Developed by the Division of Marine Fisheries, this modern, field-ready tool gives recreational anglers, commercial fishermen, and coastal fisheries stakeholders easy access to essential information, mapping tools, and reporting features—all in one place. Through its clean, intuitive interface, users can:
Explore interactive maps showing habitat data, enhancement areas, and artificial reef sites
Access real-time updates on shellfish closures, rules, and proclamations
View areas where mandatory harvest reporting is required
Submit recreational harvest reports directly through the app
Log in to view and track past recreational harvest reports via a web interface
The app is designed to perform reliably in the field, even in low-connectivity areas, using asynchronous data handling and secure credential storage to protect personal information. Whether fishing from the shore, a kayak, or a boat offshore, the N.C. Marine Fisheries App puts everything in one place — helping the public stay compliant, informed, and connected to North Carolina’s coastal fisheries.
What's new (v1.1)
The version includes a new news feed on the main landing page. This feed references 4 recent news releases from Marine Fisheries and automatically updates as new releases are available. Additionally, the mandatory reporting page has been updated to provide a more user friendly interface for reporting and tracking past submissions. All submissions go to the outbox for syncing when able. Whether you have a network connection or not, you can still submit and just sync your outbox when you have an internet connection. Past submissions are available in the Sent Reports section and each report is exportable to PDF.
