This is an unofficial app to help users discover and research the bands playing the Maryland Death Fest 2026 edition and ensure they get to the correct venue at the correct time. This app and its author are NOT associated with Maryland DeathFest, the promoters or the bands in any way.
What does the app do?
The app can show a list of bands or a list of all events with times and locations.
You can research the bands via:
Official Web Site/BandCamp site
Wikipedia
Metal Archives
YouTube
You can rate the bands as Must See, Might See, or Won’t See.
Receive alerts for shows you wanted to attend 10 min before show time (customizable)
Apply filters to customize the list
Share your choices with your fellow attendees
View reports of how your fellow attendees are ranking the bands
The app is available in multiple languages for an international audience
The app is designed to work without an internet connection once the data is downloaded to your phone.
This is NOT a web app, this is a native iOS app with code optimized for iPhones and iPads
This app was originally designed for the 70,000 Tons Of Metal cruise and has been refined from its simple beginning in 2015 and has been enhanced and improved every year over the last 10 years. MDF is the 1st festival to get the app outside of 70,000 Tons.
What's new (v27.36)
Added feature where if you go to the calendar view and it's the current day, the calendar view will jump to close to the current time
Removed references to Cruiser Organized events in the social media sharing and made the language more generic
Removed the offer of auto scheduling events, unless the user has ranked at least 50% of the bands. No need to offer on launch if the user has not setup the feature to work
