Fishbyte is a fishing app built for anglers who want better tools, not another social feed. No shared spots, no leaderboards, no data selling. Just an offline-first map app loaded with fish species data, water conditions, and a user point system.
Your Water, Your Data
Explore a detailed map of lakes, rivers, streams, and creeks across the western United States. See which fish species live in each waterbody, find public access sites with boat ramp info, and save your own private points to mark the spots that matter to you. Organize your points with tags and find them fast when you need them.
Your points are private. We don't track them, share them, or sell them. Period.
Fish Offline, Anywhere
The entire app works without cell service. Download offline maps before you head out and fish with full functionality. Species data, your saved points, and your tags are all available offline. No signal? No problem.
Filter by Species
Looking for cutthroat trout? Walleye? Bass? Use the species filter to highlight waterbodies where your target fish lives. Search for any waterbody by name or explore the map to discover new water.
Water Conditions
Check real-time flow rates and water temperatures on rivers and lakes where sensors are available. Water temps are shown with species-specific overlays so you know if conditions are ideal for the fish you're targeting. Get breakdowns with seasonal context and 10 year averages, so you know water conditions before you leave the house.
