Russet enables private on-device AI on iPhone and iPad, powered by the latest and greatest models. By default, chats run fully on-device with no accounts, no ads, and no tracking of messages. Russet's models are optimized for Apple hardware and downloadable, so they work completely offline. All in one clean, native interface designed for privacy, focus, and flow.

- Export chats to open as view-only on other devices running Russet.
- New models: PrismML's Ternary Bonsai and Google's Gemma 4.
- Apple Foundation Model and several MLX models now support calling tools in chat. You can ask Russet to list today's or tomorrow's schedule directly in the chat without going through Agent.
- Choose from 7 default Personas for opinionated responses including Russet, Study Buddy and Devil's Advocate. Set your default Persona in Settings > Chat > Persona. Or, create your own!
- Benchmark downloaded MLX models in Settings > Developer > Benchmarking, and save the results in Markdown format.
