Scout Overland was created out of a personal need—to make overland trip planning easier, more efficient, and more enjoyable. After years of exploring nearly every overlanding app/website, I found a common gap: a lack of detailed, reliable information for dispersed camping. Too often, I found myself driving late into the night, unsure of what lies ahead or where I could safely and comfortably set up camp.
That's why I built Scout Overland.
This platform is designed to be a trusted tool for overlanders, adventure bikers, and van lifers alike—helping you discover dispersed campsites without the guesswork. - Added new quick user waypoint flyout menu to select preset waypoint icons when dropping a waypoint.
- Added new dynamic labels for trails and PADUS overlay areas
- Added new recording segments which allow users to create multiple segments during a recording and select different colors and terrain types per segment.
- Added address searching (online-only) from the Map
- Major performance improvements made throughout the app.
- Fixed multiple bugs found in the My Stuff page causing duplicate objects and recreation of deleted objects.
- Fixed multiple bugs causing sporadic user login behavior.
- Fixed a layering issue causing mvum layers to be on-top of trails/tracks.
