TorchPhoto - FTP/NAS Gallery

This is not a typical FTP explorer. It is an album viewer app designed for iPhone and iPad, allowing you to upload photos and videos to an FTP server and browse them quickly like an album. Once you generate thumbnails for a folder, browsing becomes lighter and faster, and the saved thumbnails remain on your device so you can continue viewing them offline.

Key Features

1. FTP Album Viewer
Connect to your saved FTP servers and browse while preserving the original folder structure. Photos and videos inside folders can be viewed in grid or list mode, optimized for both iPhone and iPad screens. Sorting and search are supported, and when photo/video-only mode is enabled, non-media files are automatically hidden. Long-press an item to view metadata.

2. Thumbnail Generation
You can manually generate lightweight thumbnails for selected folders. Once created, you do not need to repeatedly reload the originals, which is especially useful for large folders or slow network environments. Only lightweight thumbnails are stored on your device, making storage management more efficient, and the generated thumbnails can also be used for slideshows and widgets.

3. Offline Mode
Generated thumbnails are stored on your device, so even if the server is offline or there is no internet connection, you can still browse folders and preview media. Thumbnail-based album browsing remains available offline, making it easy to enjoy on both iPhone and iPad.

4. Upload & Download
You can upload photos and videos to a selected folder on your FTP server, and download files from the server to your device for saving or sharing. Live Photo split upload and HEIC-to-JPG conversion upload are also supported for broader compatibility.

5. Widgets & Slideshow
You can display thumbnails from a selected folder in a widget. A slideshow using generated thumbnails is also supported, so you can enjoy your photos like a digital frame on iPhone and iPad.

6. Other Convenient Features
Server tag colors: Long-press a saved server to assign a tag color.
Server photo slide: Servers with generated thumbnails can display random photos in the server list.
Automatic subpath creation: Long-press a server to automatically add subdirectory paths.
Folder tags: Set tags for folders on the server and use them as search terms in the server list.
Save video frame: Save the currently paused frame from the video viewer as an image in original resolution.
Upload log: Check upload history with a simple log.
Favorites: Save thumbnail files only as favorites without storing originals.
Filter persistence: Keeps your viewer filter settings even after closing the app.
Theme support: Choose between Light, Dark, and System themes.
Thumbnail cache limit: Set a storage limit for generated thumbnails.
Large video skip: Videos above a selected size can be handled as SKIP thumbnails without downloading the original.
Video pairing: When a photo and video with the same name exist in the same folder, you can open the paired video directly from the photo preview.
