Description

SpinLab HQ transforms raw Trackman data into a complete player development system for pitchers and hitters. On the pitching side, every pitch is graded using two calibrated systems: Stuff+ measures pitch quality against professional baselines while D1 Grade evaluates against Division 1 college standards, giving coaches and athletes clear benchmarks for where they stand and where they need to go. The app breaks down each pitcher's full arsenal with velocity, spin rate, induced vertical break, horizontal break, release height, and extension for every pitch type, making it easy to identify strengths, expose weaknesses, and design targeted improvement plans. A 3D spin axis globe lets users visualize spin orientation on an interactive baseball, revealing consistency patterns and tunneling potential that drive pitch design decisions. The command bullseye plots average miss distance from target for each pitch type against pro and NCAA baselines, turning abstract command issues into concrete development goals. Performance trends track velocity, Stuff+, and movement metrics across sessions with visual sparklines, so coaches can see exactly how a pitcher is responding to training over weeks and months. The Trackman Lab provides movement plots showing pitch separation and location plots revealing tendencies in the strike zone, while facility leaderboards rank pitchers by pitch type and a database of 300 professional profiles gives athletes realistic targets to chase.

On the hitting side, SpinLab HQ applies the same rigorous methodology with a Hitter Grade built from power, contact quality, consistency, and approach metrics. Every batted ball is plotted on an exit velocity versus launch angle chart with the barrel zone highlighted, showing how often a hitter finds the sweet spot that produces damage. Spray charts visualize batted ball distribution across the field with color-coded contact quality, and batted ball breakdowns show ground ball, fly ball, and line drive rates to inform swing adjustments. Beyond the analytics, SpinLab HQ drives daily development through a programming calendar where coaches schedule throwing activities, drills, bullpen sessions, and recovery work for each pitcher, with completion tracking and notes that sync across all devices in real time. The home dashboard surfaces the metrics that matter most: top performers by Stuff+ and D1 grade, biggest movers over a two-week window, and velocity leaders across the facility. Admin controls let staff import data and upload bullpen videos while players access their own profiles to track progress. Everything syncs to the cloud instantly, so a coach can import a Trackman CSV on one device and have every pitcher's grades, trends, and visualizations updated across the entire facility within seconds. SpinLab HQ is not just an analytics tool but a development operating system that connects data to daily training decisions and turns long-term player growth into a measurable, trackable process.
