SplatKing is a capture app built for Gaussian splatting and radiance field workflows.
• It focuses on one outcome: producing high-quality, reconstruction-ready input data you can use in any downstream pipeline.
• Key capabilities: simultaneous dual-lens capture (wide + ultra-wide) in photo and video · 4K/30 HEVC with
• Standard/Max Fidelity · auto photo cadence · LiDAR mode (1× wide + ARKit depth) with native COLMAP export written on-device
• Manual controls (ISO, shutter, white balance, exposure, AF Lock, manual focus, tap-to-focus) across both lenses · minimum shutter speed · optional undistorted exports · session
quality summaries.
• Structured splatpack.json export.
What's new (v1.02)
SplatKing 1.0 redesigns the capture interface and expands manual control, and adds native COLMAP export from LiDAR.
• Redesigned capture interface. A control rail with on-chip readouts replaces the old HUD; every active setting shows its value at a glance.
• Focus controls. AF Lock, manual focus distance, and tap-to-focus, applied across both lenses.
• Minimum shutter speed. Set a shortest-exposure floor to hold sharpness during motion. Available in photo and video.
• Manual controls can remember your last settings. Optional; exposure and white balance carry over between sessions.
• New Settings page. Grid overlay, haptics, and a launch-in capture mode.
• LiDAR captures export a COLMAP text model. Cameras, images, and sparse points, written on-device and ready for reconstruction pipelines.
• Landscape support on iPhone.
• Photo and video still capture the 0.5× ultra-wide and 1× wide lenses simultaneously; LiDAR pairs ARKit depth with the 1× wide lens.
