Description
Drift is a precision ballistics calculator built for long-range shooters who want their software to match the quality of their gear.
SET UP IN UNDER A MINUTE
Search 1,300+ bullets and 600+ factory loads across priority calibers. Pick your rifle, pick your ammo, and Drift auto-populates ballistic coefficients, muzzle velocity, and bullet weight. Handloaders get a first-class path: select a bullet, enter your chrono'd MV, done. Manual entry is always available as a fallback.
SOLVER YOU CAN VERIFY
RK4 point-mass solver with G1 and G7 drag models. Spin drift, Coriolis, and aerodynamic jump corrections. Validated within ±0.1 mil at 1,000 yards against JBM & AB — a claim you can test yourself. Sub-10ms solve time.
BUILT FOR THE RANGE
— Hero holds at a glance: elevation and windage in large, readable type
— Range cards with smart interval presets and transonic zone indicator
— Wind compass with clock-face direction input and speed strip
— Atmospheric auto-populate from phone sensors and WeatherKit
— Screen stay-awake so your range card doesn't disappear mid-string
— Distance input via stepper, keyboard, or preset capsules
YOUR DATA, YOUR DEVICE
Offline-first. No account required. No server dependency. Profiles are stored locally with iCloud backup. Built to match the trust standard of the physical data book.
GEAR IDENTITY
Your Arsenal shows composited rifle silhouettes built from your actual setup — platform, stock, barrel length, optic, mount. Not clip art. Your rifle.
Drift is built by a product designer and shooter in Florida. No account walls, no subscription bait, no tactical cheese. Just a ballistics tool that respects your time and your data.
What's new (v1.2)
Range Mode now handles uphill and downhill shots. Tap Angle to set a muzzle-up or muzzle-down inclination, see the cosine and elevation change, and keep that adjustment visible while it affects your solution.
Rifle management is faster too: long-press a rifle on the home screen to delete it directly, with the same confirmation step as edit mode.
Also: smoother keyboard handoff in Profile Creation and Add Load, clearer primary buttons, and polish across Range Mode, load management, and navigation.
