Description

**The minimalist creative camera and photo styling app.**

Analog Buddy gives you a full toolkit for capturing, styling and sharing photos — from metering the light before you shoot, to posting a styled Story in seconds.

---

**LIGHT METER**
A real-time light meter powered by your camera's sensor. Reads EV, recommends shutter speed and aperture for any ISO. Displays your scene type — Sunny, Cloudy, Shade, Indoor, Low Light — so you always know where you stand. Available on the home screen widget too.

**FRAME TRACKER**
Log every frame you shoot. Camera profiles hold your lens and film preferences — type any ISO/ASA or maximum aperture. Create a roll with any frame count for bulk-rolled stock. Track each frame, add GPS coordinates, write a note, attach a reference photo. Add roll-level notes for expired film — how stale, storage, push/pull plans.

**FILM SCANNER**
Hold your negatives up to the light and scan them with your iPhone. Black & white inversion in seconds. Color C-41 and slide E-6 modes available with Pro. Adjust exposure with the EV slider. Pinch to zoom.

**PHOTO SIMULATION**
Transform any photo with 20+ analog color presets — Portra warmth, Tri-X contrast, Gold grain, Velvia punch. Adjust exposure, highlights, shadows, fade, grain size and amount. Save your own custom presets with Pro.

**LIVE FILM CAMERA**
Shoot through a real-time CIColorMatrix film simulation. Apply era filters to travel from 1940s Kodachrome warmth to 2000s digital edge. Every frame is processed before you press the shutter. Pinch to zoom, tap to focus. Saves to Camera Roll. Pro feature.

**INSTANT CAMERA**
A Polaroid-style camera that develops your shot right on screen. Choose from multiple frame styles, add story templates, and share to Instagram or anywhere else with one tap.

**ANALOG JOURNAL**
A freehand canvas for your creative ideas. Draw with pen, pencil, chalk, watercolor or oil paint. Write, paste photos, drop stickers and film-strip elements. Every page is fully yours. Export all pages as a PDF photo book. One page free, unlimited with Pro.

**FLASH CALCULATOR**
Guide Number formula on your fingertips. Set your GN and distance to get the correct aperture instantly.

**FILM BATH**
A built-in darkroom timer for developing your own film. Pre-loaded recipes — D-76 stock, HC-110 (B), Rodinal 1:50. Each step (developer, stop, fix, wash) plays in sequence with audible cues. Pro: save your own custom recipes with adjustable temperatures and times.

**HOME SCREEN WIDGETS**
Free iOS home screen widgets: live Light Meter (small and medium), a Quick Capture shortcut to the film camera, a Quick Launch pad with one-tap access to Meter, Film Cam, Scanner and Film Sim, and the Quick Shoot widget — on iOS 17+ you can advance the frame counter straight from the widget without opening the app.
