Tap-In is the workout focus app that physically locks your phone the moment you start training. One scan of your Tap-In keychain and your most distracting apps are blocked — no willpower required. Scan again when you're done. That's it.
HOW IT WORKS
Tap-In pairs with your personal Tap-In keychain — a physical tag that you carry with you. When you're ready to train, scan your keychain to your phone. Your selected apps instantly lock and a focus timer begins. When your workout is over, scan again to unlock everything. No subscriptions. No timers to set. Just scan and train.
Your keychain is unique to you. It's registered to your account during setup, so only your keychain can control your Tap-In session.
BLOCK THE APPS THAT DISTRACT YOU
Choose exactly which apps get blocked during your sessions. Tap-In gives you a full list of every app installed on your iPhone — select the ones you want locked during workouts and leave the rest accessible. Change your selections anytime from the Settings tab.
TRACK EVERY WORKOUT
Tap-In automatically logs every session. Choose your workout type before you start — options include Functional Strength Training, Cardio, Pilates, General Focus, and more. Your Activity tab shows:
1) Total focus time across all sessions
2) Sessions completed this month and this week
3) Average session length
4) Average focus score
5) Your all-time personal record
6) Your current streak
7) Your top workout types
8) Full workout history
The more you train, the more your stats tell the story.
EMERGENCY UNLOCKS
Sometimes life happens. Tap-In gives you 3 Emergency Unlocks — a way to unblock your apps mid-session without scanning your keychain. Use them wisely. Once they're gone, earn them back by completing 10 workouts to restore 1 Emergency Unlock (max 3 at a time). It's a built-in system that keeps you true to your goals.
STREAKS & PERSONAL RECORDS
Stay consistent. Tap-In tracks your daily workout streak and highlights your longest focus session as your Personal Record. Every session is a chance to beat it.
GETTING STARTED
1) Download Tap-In and create your free account
2) Grant Screen Time permission so Tap-In can block your selected apps
3) Scan your Tap-In keychain to pair it to your account
4) Select which apps to block in Settings
5) Scan your keychain at the gym and get to work
REQUIRES A TAP-IN KEYCHAIN
Tap-In requires a Tap-In keychain to use. The app is free to download, but a keychain is required to complete setup and start your first session. Get yours at thetapinapp.net.
Tap-In uses Apple's Screen Time framework to block apps locally on your device. No data about which apps you use or block is ever transmitted or stored.
