Description
Snap a meal. See per-item carbs in seconds. USDA-checked, not just AI-guessed.
Built by a Type 1 diabetic for anyone tired of counting carbs the hard way — T1, T2, prediabetes, GLP-1, keto, low-carb, and the people cooking for them. Try it free for 7 days, unlimited. After that, 30 scans a month, on the house. No account. No email. No food diary.
HOW IT WORKS
Point your camera at the plate. Tap once. CarbZen identifies each item, estimates carbs per item, and reconciles every estimate against USDA FoodData Central, the same nutrition database registered dietitians use. When the AI estimate and the USDA value disagree, you see both and can pick. No barcode hunting. No food diary. No email collection.

WHAT IT IS NOT
CarbZen estimates carb counts from photos. It is not a medical device. It does not replace a continuous glucose monitor, a registered dietitian, or your care team. Carb estimates may be inaccurate. Always confirm meal planning decisions with your clinician.
PRIVACY
Photos and scan history stay on your device. Photos are sent securely to Anthropic Claude for analysis and are not retained after the count comes back. We do not sell or share your data. No account, no email collection. Read the policy at carbzen.app/privacy.

What's new (v1.1.0)
Backup and roam across devices with iCloud sync. Turn on Backup & Sync in Settings to keep your scan history and food items on your own iCloud account. Reinstall the app or pick up a new iPhone, sign in, and your data flows back. The data lives in your iCloud, not on CarbZen servers.
Settings reorganized: Apple Health and Backup & Sync now sit at the top, next to your subscription. Daily Carb Goal moved up; visual preferences moved down.
