What's new (v1.1.1)
Your custom recording preset now sticks. If you configured a Custom preset with a specific format, sample rate, and bit depth, it was silently discarded whenever you changed settings and returned to record. Fixed. Your configuration now loads exactly as you saved it.
Record-start crashes resolved. Several users on certain devices reported that ALAC recordings failed to start, depending on the device's supported sample rates and bit depths. LudyRec now checks your settings against what your hardware accepts before starting, corrects unsupported combinations automatically, and never saves a truncated file to your library.
The record button resets reliably after saving. After stopping and saving a recording, the New Recording button could stay unresponsive. It now resets promptly so you can start your next take without restarting the app.
Apple Watch no longer crashes on watchOS 26.3. An incorrect Info.plist key caused an immediate launch crash on the Watch companion app. Removed.
Library recovery works correctly. Resetting the library now restores your recordings instead of showing an empty list.
WAV exports keep your source bit depth. Your 16-bit recordings export as 16-bit WAV. No forced upsampling.
Headphones disconnected mid-session. When you unplug headphones during a recording, input monitoring stops automatically, you get a brief notification, and the recording continues on the built-in microphone.
Guided walkthrough for new users. The first time you open the app, a short guided session confirms your mic works and gives you a recording to start from.
Trim operations are safer. Trimming no longer replaces the original file in place; a safety copy ensures your data is intact even if the operation is interrupted.
Interface strings fixed in Korean and 31 other languages. Playback and routing labels that were showing in English regardless of your device language are now correctly localized.
Settings open faster. Disk-space estimates are now calculated in the background and cached — no more UI stutter when Settings first loads.
Location data is only read when you have opted in. The app never reads your location silently.
