Description

CalmArms is the AI-powered form coach that lives in your pocket. Point your camera at yourself, start your set, and CalmArms grades every single rep in real time — no wearables, no gym equipment, no personal trainer required.

REAL-TIME FORM GRADING
Using your phone's front camera and on-device AI, CalmArms tracks 33 body keypoints every second. After each rep, you receive a letter grade (A through F) and specific feedback on exactly what to fix — whether that's your range of motion, elbow alignment, tempo, or body positioning.

SUPPORTED EXERCISES
• Bicep Curls
• Tricep Extensions
• Shoulder Press
• Lateral Raises

HOW IT WORKS
1. Select your exercise
2. Position your phone so your body is visible
3. Start your set — CalmArms detects your reps automatically
4. Review your form grade and feedback after each rep
5. Improve with every session

WHAT MAKES CALMARMS DIFFERENT
Most fitness apps count reps. CalmArms grades them. There is a significant difference between completing a set and completing it correctly. Poor form leads to injuries, muscle imbalances, and wasted effort. CalmArms catches form breakdowns the moment they happen so you can correct them in real time rather than after the fact.

ALL PROCESSING IS ON-DEVICE
Your camera feed never leaves your phone. All pose detection and form analysis runs entirely on your device using on-device AI. No video is recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere.

What's new (v1.1.1)

This release is a deep tune-up on grading accuracy plus a handful of new
ways to actually use your data.

GRADING REBUILT FOR CLEAN REPS
We rebuilt the grading pipeline for the exercises that were consistently
underscoring honest sets:
• Leg extension and seated leg curl now reflect what you actually did —
no more "Foot not finishing the kick" cues on full-lockout reps
• Barbell RDLs no longer false-positive on back-rounding or torso rocking
— the hinge IS the rep
• Single-arm dumbbell row reps now count reliably regardless of camera
angle
• Lateral raise, bent-over row, and T-Bar row moved to 45° framing so the
lateral arm path is actually visible
• Flat fly moved to a back-view setup so your legs don't occlude the
chest mid-rep
• Elbow flare detection now fires above a ceiling instead of below a
floor — clean deep tucks stop getting flagged

NEW: TAP-TO-EXCLUDE REPS
On the post-set screen, tap any rep to drop it from your set average.
Use it for warm-up reps, missed reps, or anything that doesn't reflect
what you actually wanted to grade. Tap again to put it back. The
headline grade updates live.

NEW: PER-EXERCISE FEEDBACK ON FULL WORKOUTS
Tap into any saved workout from the Last Workouts panel — each exercise
now shows its own deficiency cues, progression message, and trajectory
line, exactly like single-set sessions do.

PERSONAL RECORDS BY MUSCLE GROUP
Your Records section on home (and Analytics) now groups bests by muscle
group with tap-to-expand sections. Find your back PR without scrolling
through every variation.

CAMERA SETUP THAT WON'T LET YOU MISS THE ANGLE
When a variation needs a different camera angle than its siblings (like
single-arm DB row at 45° behind the bench), you'll see a large amber
banner above the camera preview and have to confirm you've read the
position before Start enables.

TUTORIAL VIDEOS FOR EVERY VARIATION
All 17 exercises and 49 variations now have their own tutorial GIFs.

NEW EXERCISE: HANGING LEG RAISE
Promoted to its own core exercise with vertical-body portrait camera
setup. Kipping detection catches momentum cheats automatically.

POLISH
• Stats display fixed: best grade shows "0" instead of a blank when you
have sessions but no recorded best yet
• Workout history carries per-exercise feedback through to the recap
• Web site updated to reflect the current 17-exercise / 49-variation
catalog
