Description
Third Rail shows upcoming arrivals at NYC subway stations, with a twist: when the subway has delays, we detect them. Rather than just providing a single time like "5 minutes away", if our algorithm forecasts a train might run late, the app instead shows you a range of when arrival is likely, like "5–9 minutes away".
• Arrival estimates with second precision — "25 seconds" vs. "90 seconds" can make a major difference when you're running down the stairs and the next train is a 20 minute wait.
• View arrival times for any stop in the system, even when you're underground between stations and don't have service.
• Went in the wrong direction again? A small icon indicates which stations don't allow free u-turns.
• Your location data never leaves your device.
