Description

**Will your battery make it?**

VeloRange answers this question for your specific route — not with a manufacturer estimate, but with a physics-based simulation along your actual GPX elevation profile. Before you leave, you'll know whether your battery has enough energy for the climbs, your chosen assist mode, and conditions like temperature and wind. And if it doesn't: the exact kilometer where your battery would run out.

**Import GPX, understand your range**

• Import your route as GPX from Komoot, Strava, Garmin, Outdooractive, or directly from the Files app.
• VeloRange analyzes the elevation profile, calculates grade percentages, and simulates energy consumption segment by segment.
• Map and energy curve show at a glance where your ride is most demanding for the battery.
• If range is insufficient: a red marker on the map at the calculated depletion point.

**Calibrated to your bike**

• Select your motor brand and drive system from a database of common e-bike systems.
• Enter your real-world flat-terrain range — VeloRange calibrates the model to your actual riding behavior, not lab values.
• Rider weight, bike weight, battery capacity, and motor cutoff reserve: all parameters are factored in.

**Physics-based, practically useful**

• Segment-by-segment energy model with rolling, aerodynamic, and gravitational forces — scaled to your calibration.
• Surface detection via OpenStreetMap: off-road sections increase rolling resistance realistically.
• Temperature (manual or automatically via Apple Weather) reduces effective battery capacity in cold conditions.
• Wind affects aerodynamic drag — from calm to strong headwind.
• Change assist mode, wind, or temperature — VeloRange recalculates in seconds.

**For iPhone and iPad**

• Optimized layouts from iPhone portrait to full iPad Split View.
• Fully localized in English and German, metric and imperial units.
• All data stays on your device — no account, no cloud required.

**Note:** VeloRange provides a careful estimate based on physical models and your inputs — not a guarantee of actual range. Factors like riding style, tire pressure, battery aging, and real-world motor behavior can differ. Always plan with a safety margin.
