Description

The 1928 Daily Office app guides you through the traditional Morning and Evening Prayer services of the 1928 American Book of Common Prayer — the historic Anglican prayer book used by generations of faithful Christians before modern revisions.

Every day, the app automatically appoints the correct psalms, Scripture lessons, opening sentences, and collects according to the traditional Anglican lectionary and liturgical calendar. Simply open the app and pray — everything is already in order and made available for the sake of Christ's One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.

MORNING & EVENING PRAYER
Follow the complete order of service for both Morning and Evening Prayer exactly as appointed in the 1928 BCP, including the Venite, Te Deum, Benedictus, Magnificat, Nunc Dimittis, and all canticles in their proper place.

THE PSALMS
All 150 psalms of the Coverdale Psalter — the historic English translation found in the 1928 BCP — appointed daily according to the traditional 30-day psalm cycle.

SCRIPTURE LESSONS
Daily Old and New Testament lessons appointed according to the 1928 lectionary, available in multiple translations including KJV, RSV, ESV, NASB, and NKJV.

LITURGICAL CALENDAR
The full Anglican liturgical calendar with all feast days, fasts, saints' days, and seasonal observances from Advent through Trinity. Opening sentences, collects, and propers change automatically with the season.

THE CREEDS
Choose from the Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed, or the Athanasian Creed as appointed.

DAILY REMINDERS
Set optional daily notifications for Morning Prayer and Evening Prayer at your preferred time. Each notification includes a seasonally appropriate opening sentence to call you to prayer.

COMPLETELY FREE
No ads. No subscriptions. No account required. No data collected. This app is free and always will be. It exists for one purpose: to help Christians pray the Daily Office.
