Description
Your cat is counting on you to get the food right. GoodMeow helps you do exactly that.
Scan any cat food barcode and see how it scores across 17 nutritional traits: protein, fat, fiber, taurine, moisture, omega-3 source and quality, filler count, ingredient quality, calorie density, price per ounce, and more. Every trait is measured on a dry-matter basis so wet and dry foods compare fairly. (A wet food listing 9% protein is actually around 50% protein once you remove the water. Labels hide this. We don't.)
Every food is ranked within its peer group. Your cat's wet food only competes against other cat wet foods. Dry against dry. Treats against treats. Gold tier means top third. Silver means middle. Bronze means bottom. Price is part of the score, so a great budget food earns Gold the same as an expensive one.
PERSONALIZED TO YOUR CAT
Create a profile with breed, age, weight, health conditions, and known allergens. The app adjusts scoring and flags based on your cat's specific needs.
A Persian with urinary concerns gets different signals than a Maine Coon with joint needs. A senior cat on kidney support sees moisture and phosphorus context on every product. Every screen uses your cat's name: "Good moisture for Luna's kidney support." "High fiber helps Luna's hairballs." 45 breeds, each with wellness priorities from clinical dietary research.
INGREDIENT FLAGS WITH SOURCES
When the app flags an ingredient, it explains why in plain language, shows what it means for your cat's conditions, and cites the published research. Warning-level flags like titanium dioxide or sodium nitrite get severity labels and sources. Info-level flags like carrageenan or ingredient splitting get honest context so you can decide what matters. No fearmongering. Just evidence you can check yourself.
NOT JUST A SCANNER
Tap "Feed this to Luna" on any product and the app starts tracking what you feed. It calculates how much your cat eats per day from their calorie needs, counts down to when you'll run out, and reminds you before it's empty.
Switching brands? The app walks you through a 7-day transition with daily mix ratios and check-ins. If your cat gets an upset stomach or refuses the new food, you get practical advice for that specific situation. No more wasted bags from switching too fast.
Once a month, a quick body condition check (your hands, no scale needed) builds a weight trend over time. Before your next vet visit, one tap generates a shareable report with your cat's current food, feeding history, weight trend, and flagged ingredients. Your vet gets organized data instead of guessing.
