One Little City

5.0 (2) v3.0 18 MB Universal 4+

Description

A family calendar for school + camp life — for the parents who already have a Google Calendar, a fridge, and a group text, and somehow still miss the field trip.

One Little City stitches your kids' school calendar, your forwarded school emails, summer camps, your co-parent's calendar, and your own Google Calendar into one page you can read in ten seconds. It pairs with One Little City Display on
iPad — a family calendar that runs on the iPad you already own. No dedicated digital frame to buy. No counter space to sacrifice. No annual subscription.

WHAT'S ON IT

• Today, at a glance. Both parents' events, every kid's day, chores that need doing — color-coded by who they belong to.

• Your kids' actual school calendar. Pajama Day, picture day, the field-day water bottle, half-day dismissal — already there for Falls Church City Public Schools. No CSV import. No PDF download.

• My Calendar. One page for the whole family, with parent chips so Mom's calendar is one color and Dad's is another and the kids each have their own. Toggle anyone on or off.

• Forward an email. Get a private inbox address. Forward Mrs. Patterson's class email and we parse it into an event on the right kid's calendar. Even when the date is buried in paragraph four.

• Snap a flyer. Take a picture of the paper flyer on the fridge and it becomes a calendar event.

• Camps grid. Ten summer weeks, one row per kid. Booked weeks filled in. Empty weeks pulse yellow until you fix them. Tap a yellow week and we suggest the three best-fit FCC camps for that kid.

• Camp Concierge. Tell us what you need — half-day, ages 4 to 7, walking distance, under $250 — and we plan the gaps for you.

• Co-parent sync. Invite the other parent. You both see the same agenda update live. No more "did you see…" texts.

• Calendar connections. Connect your Google Calendar once and your events show up next to your kids' school events. Apple Calendar and Outlook coming in v3.1.

• Chores + rewards. Author chores on iPhone, kids tap them off on iPad. Stars on Sunday.

• Daily + weekly digest. A morning summary email and a Sunday look-ahead. Nothing else gets pushed at you that doesn't matter.

THE iPAD COMPANION

A new app this launch: One Little City Display, your family calendar on the iPad you already own. Pulls from the iPhone app. Drop the iPad in a $20 stand on the kitchen counter, prop it on a desk, or wall-mount it if you want — the whole
week, every kid, both parents, visible from across the room. No login required on the iPad. Set up in 30 seconds.

Compared to a dedicated digital-frame device at $160–$600 plus an annual subscription, our math is simpler: you already have the hardware, and the app is free during the beta.

Search "One Little City Display" on the iPad App Store after you finish setting up here.

BUILT IN FALLS CHURCH CITY, VIRGINIA

We started here because we live here. Mt. Daniel, Oak Street, Meridian — already loaded. Outside FCC? The calendar still works. You connect Google, you add kids, you forward emails. The school-event auto-fill lights up the moment your
district's calendar is in our system. Tell us where you live: hello@onelittlecity.com.

PRIVACY

Your forwarded emails stay private to your family. Your kids' names never leave your account. No ads, no tracking, no cross-app identifiers. We don't read your Gmail; you forward what you want parsed, and that's it.

FREE for Falls Church City families during the beta. Tell us what's broken: hello@onelittlecity.com.

What's new (v3.0)

Version 3.0 — the family calendar update.

The biggest visual + functional refresh since we shipped on the App Store. v3.0 turns One Little City from a school+camp organizer into a real family calendar.

What's new:

• PARENT CHIPS on My Calendar. Each parent gets their own color (lilac, rose, sky, meadow, sun — your choice). Mom's calendar and Dad's calendar live side by side instead of mashed together.

• PER-PARENT COLOR RAILS on Today and on every event. You can see who an event belongs to at a glance.

• FULL-CARD COLOR. Each agenda row tinted by who's on it. Multi-owner events (both kids at the block party) get split-color rails.

• ONE LITTLE CITY DISPLAY (iPad). A separate new app — a family calendar on the iPad you already own. Drop your iPad in a $20 stand on the kitchen counter (or wall-mount it) and pair in 30 seconds. Same data, same family. Kids tap chores
done; parents tap events open. No dedicated digital frame to buy. Search "One Little City Display" on the iPad App Store after you set up the iPhone app.

• iPAD SETUP IN ONBOARDING. The iPhone app now walks you through pairing an iPad during first-run setup (skippable).

• CO-PARENT CALENDAR MIRRORING. When your co-parent connects their Google Calendar, their events appear in your view automatically. No more "what time is your meeting again?"

• STICKY PEOPLE LEGEND on My Calendar. The chip row pins to the top as you scroll the week.

• REAL APPLE SIGN-IN merging. Sign in with Apple and later sign in with Google (or vice versa) and the app now reconnects them to the same family instead of stranding you in an empty account.

• A pile of bug fixes from beta feedback — tapping an event reliably opens it, deleting works the way you'd expect, and the agenda is snappier.

What's coming in v3.1:

• Apple Calendar (iCloud) connections via app-specific password.
• Outlook calendar connections.
• QR-code pairing for One Little City Display.
• Joint-custody and other-caregiver invites.

Tell us what's broken: hello@onelittlecity.com. And if you have an iPad sitting in a drawer, plug it in. That's what we built this for.
