Description

She was telling you about the ladybug she found.

You missed it. You were looking at your phone.

Not at something important. Not at an email that couldn't wait. You were just... scrolling. And when you looked up, she'd already moved on. She stopped trying to show you.
That's called phubbing — phone-snubbing — and research across 50,000+ families found it fundamentally changes how children develop emotionally. Not from absence. From distraction. From the parent who's right there on the couch but a thousand miles away behind a screen.

Here's the thing you already know but can't seem to act on: you don't need more time with your kids. You need less phone during the time you already have.
That's what 940 Saturdays does.

— HOW IT WORKS —

This is the app that wants you to use it less.
Before dinner, you get a nudge: a Reggio-inspired conversation starter tailored to your child's exact age. "What was the scariest part of your day?" "If your stuffed animals could talk, what would they say about you?"
Then the phone goes dark. No notifications. No check-ins. No reason to pick it up. Your kid has your full attention.
After bedtime — when the house is quiet and the guilt-free phone time begins — you open the app for 10 seconds. Tap how present you felt (1 to 5 hearts). Jot a one-line memory if you want. Add a photo from today. Done.
That's it. That's the whole habit.

— WHAT BUILDS OVER TIME —

Your streak grows. Not a streak of app usage — a streak of presence. Every day you showed up, counted.
Weekly recaps show your best moments. Monthly time capsules collect your photos and memories into something beautiful. And at the end of the year, Saturdays Wrapped turns 365 days of small moments into the highlight reel of your child's year.
The photos you almost forgot to take. The things they said that you almost forgot they said. The nights you chose them over the screen. All of it, kept.

— THE SCIENCE —

This isn't a guilt trip dressed as an app.
Research shows that even 15 minutes of fully undistracted attention changes how your child's brain develops empathy, language, and emotional regulation. Children whose parents are present — truly present, not phone-in-hand present — show stronger emotional security and fewer behavior problems.
Back-and-forth conversation literally wires their brain. Every moment of eye contact counts. And right now, you're giving them exactly what they need.

— ONE LAST THING —

There are 940 Saturdays between the day your child is born and the day they turn 18.
Some have already passed. You can't get those back.
But tonight, when you sit down for dinner, put your phone in the other room. Ask them what made them laugh today. And really listen to the answer.
You don't need this app to do that. But if you download it, you'll do it more often. And you'll remember it forever.
940 Saturdays. Don't miss them.

What's new (v1.1.1)

Quieter. Sharper. More reliable.
• The "phone down" lock-screen reminder now reaches you even when your phone is on Do Not Disturb — the pre-window cue is now Time-Sensitive.
• When tonight's window closes, the lock-screen reminder shows a calm sign-off ("Tonight, you showed up.") instead of a stuck timer.
• A gentle "don't lose your streak" nudge, about 1h45m after bedtime — only if you haven't reflected yet. It cancels itself the moment you do.
• Open the app after family time and you'll get a small heart-bloom moment before the home screen. One Saturday well spent.
• Best-effort auto-start for the Live Activity at the beginning of your family-time window, even if the app isn't open.
• Fixed: the share recap occasionally showed a black sheet on the first tap.
