Description
Evening light over a Naples alley. An old man plays chess by a doorway. A basket of figs at the market; the scent of basil on someone's apron. These are not moments you photograph. They are moments you might remember, for a while, before they fade.
OVERTURE: SILLAGE is a quiet, meditative mobile game for adults. You follow David — a perfumer and musician of Armenian heritage, based in Marseille — through five European cities in autumn. Naples. Florence. Prague. Vienna. Reykjavík. Each city holds moments that become the notes of a perfume he is composing.
A GAME OF ATTENTION
Hold your gaze on a detail in a scene — the steam rising from an espresso, the book left open on a bench, the tobacco on someone's fingers. If your attention lingers, David catches the scent. It enters his notebook as a drifting colour and a short word: coffee, old paper, skin. But moments evolve. A scene changes while you watch it. What you don't catch, you lose.
HAND-PAINTED EUROPE
Every scene is a painterly illustration, rendered in the spirit of modern European editorial art — Sorrentino light, Hopper quiet, Sargent texture. Watch the ochre of Naples shift to the gold of Florence, the stone of Prague, the burgundy of Vienna, the cold blue of Reykjavík. Parallax depth responds to the way you hold your phone.
COMPOSE A PERFUME
At the end of a journey, bring the captured scents into David's atelier. Place notes on the pyramid — top, heart, base. Some pairings resonate. Others do not. The game tells you nothing in numbers. You listen for when the composition sounds right. Four critics receive the release; each responds in their own voice.
A DIARY OF A SEASON
After each city, David writes a short entry. A few sentences, handwritten in the colour of the city. Look back at them at any time. This is the quiet story the game tells you.
MEMORIES FADE
Scents you do not use soften over days. Some slip away completely. You can record them to keep them longer, but you cannot keep them forever. This is not a design flaw. This is the game.
