Distance Map measures distances and land areas right on the map. Tap two points and the straight-line distance appears instantly — in miles or kilometers, on satellite view, with no account and no setup.
Area works differently: calculating the size of a field, lot or plot needs at least three points, so unlimited points and every area result are part of Premium. Here is exactly what you get in each.

Measurements are calculated from map coordinates and are meant for planning and estimating — not for legal, cadastral or land-registry purposes. An internet connection is required, since the maps are loaded online.

Two things that used to be Premium are now free, and there are four new tools.

• MILES. The app opens in your country's units — miles in the US and UK, kilometers elsewhere — and remembers your choice. Nautical miles stay in Premium.
• SATELLITE AND HYBRID MAPS. You cannot trace a lot line, a roof edge or a field boundary on a road map, so satellite view is now part of the free app.
