Description
need gas? launch the app, click the logo, get the 6 best stations near you, click to get routed. it's that simple. homadic ranks every gas station by what it actually saves you — factoring in price, distance, detour cost, and your vehicle. local-first, on-device, no account required.
WHY HOMADIC
— the algorithm: every nearby station gets scored on a single metric: how many real dollars you save by choosing it. accounts for tank-size leverage, round-trip detour cost, weather-adjusted fuel efficiency, and price freshness.
— the speed: tap the logo, see the top 6 ranked results in under a second. no menus, no filters, no friction.
— the privacy: no accounts, no servers, no tracking, no ads. everything stays on your device. period.
— the integrations: navigate with apple maps, google maps, or waze — your choice. siri shortcuts let you say "hey siri, find gas" hands-free.
WHAT YOU GET
— top 6 nearby stations, ranked by your real savings, not by alphabet or sponsor
— per-station fuel prices for regular, midgrade, premium, and diesel
— a tap-to-expand savings breakdown showing exactly why each station is ranked where it is
— frequent stops with autocomplete — save home, work, gym, and homadic suggests "find gas on the way to home" when you're heading there
— EV mode that switches the search to nearby charging stations
— mi/km units, dark/light/relax themes
— full data control: clear all your data with one button in settings, or just delete the app
THE THESIS
most apps wrap third-party data and call it a feature. homadic's routing engine runs entirely on-device — distance via haversine geometry, fuel cost via your vehicle's MPG, price freshness via exponential decay. the math is yours, the data is yours, the stations are yours.

What's new (v1.1)
v1.1 - bigger upgrades than the version number suggests.
→ real road distance. cards now show mileage from Apple's road routing, so the number matches your nav app instead of the crow-flight estimate. that's our bad.
→ traffic-aware ETA. the time on each card reflects actual driving conditions, not a guess. huge accuracy jump.
→ truck stop mode. this is big for truck drivers and we hope this saves them money. flip it on for actual truck-friendly stations (Pilot, Love's, TA, Petro, Maverik) instead of random places with one diesel pump. more sparse so work with the distance toggle to find your rhythm.
→ filter by fuel grade. regular, midgrade, premium, or diesel. the price you see and the savings math now match the grade you actually pump.
→ weather-adjusted MPG. cold mornings, headwinds, and rain quietly cost you fuel — we factor it in.
→ tap anywhere on a card to expand the full price + amenities breakdown. oh, and you can actually use the "tap to find gas" text to tap to find gas now - not just the waypoint logo. sorry about that, too.
→ bigger nav button, easier to hit at 70 mph.
→ search radius is a slider now, 1-30 mi or 1-50 km.
→ smoother animations, faster screens, tighter typography throughout.
still no accounts & still no tracking for now. we're still doing the math no other gas app bothers with. we are currently working on a database to bring value to the app and its users for amenity reviews like bathroom cleanliness, safety and quality of life perks at stations, and availability of what users need most.
