Built for iPhone, the app starts recording with one tap from the main red record button. You can also begin right from the Lock Screen, Home Screen, or Control Center, so it is easy to catch a thought when time is short. During recording, a live waveform shows audio activity, the timer keeps running, and you can pause, resume, cancel, or drop a bookmark the second something important happens.

Long recording sessions are supported, including when your screen is locked. A Live Activity keeps the session visible with elapsed time and quick controls, including Bookmark and Stop, so you can stay focused without digging through the app.

After you save, your library stays sorted with the newest recording first. Each recording can include a title, notes, transcript, summary, and smart category. Categories include Meeting, Lecture, Interview, Idea, Reminder, and Conversation. Search checks titles, transcript text, summaries, and categories, making it easy to find a phrase you remember even if you forgot the file name.

Playback is built for finding moments fast. Drag the waveform scrubber, tap 15-second skip back or skip forward, or pick a listening speed of 0.5x, 0.75x, 1x, 1.25x, 1.5x, 2x, or 3x. The standout feature is sentence jumping: tap any sentence in the transcript and playback moves to that exact moment. If you added bookmarks while recording, tap a bookmark chip to jump there instantly.

Transcription runs on device. You can preview up to 60 seconds for free, and Pro gives full transcription. When available on your device, the app can also create an automatic short title, a 2-sentence summary, key topics, action items, and a smart category after recording stops. If access is missing, the app can take you straight to Settings.

Pro also adds more control over your files. Trim a recording with separate start and end sliders and a clear length readout before saving. Split at the current play position to create two new recordings while keeping the original. Merge two recordings into one when they are in the same folder. You can share audio, share audio with text after transcription, or export a lossless copy.

How it works:
- Tap the giant red record button to start right away with haptic feedback.
- Watch the live waveform and elapsed timer while audio is captured.
- Tap the bookmark button during recording to mark an important moment.
- Use Pause and Resume when a conversation goes off topic.
- Tap Save to add the recording to your library with the newest item first.
- Open the detail view to see the waveform, transcript, summary, and bookmarks.

Common use cases:
- Record a Meeting preset from the Lock Screen when you are walking in late.
- Start a Lecture preset, lock your iPhone, and keep recording in your bag.
- Save an Interview and tap the transcript later to reach a quote quickly.
- Capture an Idea during a walk, then read the 2-sentence summary instead of replaying everything.
- Protect a private Conversation with Face ID or Touch ID lock.

Settings you can change:
- High-quality capture: keep it on for better sound, or turn it off for smaller files.
- Auto-transcribe on save: start transcription automatically after each recording.
- Haptic feedback: turn tap feedback on or off.
- Recording language override: change the language used for a specific recording when needed.
- Quick Record preset: choose Quick Note, Lecture, or Meeting for the Lock Screen control.
