This update contains the following new features:
- You can now create voice recordings directly in SnipNotes and keep them alongside your other notes. Capture ideas, meetings, interviews, or personal reflections whenever typing would slow you down.
- Turn your voice recordings into transcripts and use summaries to review key points faster. This makes it easier to revisit longer recordings and find the most important information at a glance.
- Your recording, transcript, and summary stay together in one place, so you can listen back to the original audio, skim the transcript, or review the summary whenever you need it.
- Voice Recordings are included for SnipNotes Plus subscribers and anyone who purchased SnipNotes Plus after March 1, 2026. Otherwise, they are available as a one-time purchase. SnipNotes Plus includes a 7-day free trial.
The following improvements are also included:
- The quick-note button, which previously always created a plain text note, can now be configured to your preferred note type. Long-press the button to change it. All other note creation options — such as voice dictation, camera, or drawing — remain accessible at any time via the Add Note menu (the + button).
- You can now create new notes directly from selected text. Select any text within a note and tap "New Note from Selection" — or split a multi-line selection into individual notes, one per line.
- The onboarding experience has been redesigned to better showcase what SnipNotes can do and to personalize your setup from the very first launch.
